Sustainable Supply Chain Practices, AI Capability, and CSR as Drivers of Corporate Green Competitive Advantage

  • Abdul Ghafoor – Senior Lecturer, Birmingham City University, Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Abstract

This study examined the impact of sustainable supply chain practices, artificial intelligence capability, and corporate social responsibility on green competitive advantage within organizations operating in the United Kingdom. A quantitative research design was adopted, and primary data were collected from a sample of 333 respondents using a structured questionnaire measured on a Likert scale. The analysis was conducted using RStudio, employing structural equation modeling to assess direct, mediating, and moderating relationships among the constructs. The findings indicated that sustainable supply chain practices, artificial intelligence capability, and corporate social responsibility significantly influenced both organizational sustainability culture and green competitive advantage. Organizational sustainability culture was found to play a significant mediating role, strengthening the link between strategic drivers and competitive outcomes. Furthermore, top management support and digital transformation readiness significantly moderated key relationships, enhancing the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives. The study provided empirical evidence supporting an integrated framework that combined technological, strategic, and social dimensions of sustainability. The findings contributed to a comprehensive understanding of how organizations in the United Kingdom achieved green competitive advantage through internal cultural alignment and innovation driven practices.
